This Victorian home was built by Howard E. Gilbert on Norman Road, Arcadia Twp. The lookout tower (restored in 1999) was used by Mr. Gilbert to sight Lake Michigan steamboats coming to the Burnham Pier. The house was moved to this location to serve as our museum in November, 1994. The museum's grand opening was July 15, 2000.
