The Methodist Church

Buildings along Division Street beginning at 4th Street intersection

This church (far left in the photo) was built on land purchased from the Starke Land and Lumber Company for $1.00. The members of this small congregation pledged work time, building materials, and/or money for its construction. A. H. Stockman tore down his barn, and much of the salvaged lumber was used to construct the church. The total construction cost was $1,376.
